The truth is...

I HAVE FAILED!

Affiliate marketing is a great business model and is very attractive. 

When it comes to affiliate marketing, you don't...

• need to have your own product
• have to create your own website
• have to have money to get started

So, when there are so few barriers to entry, you will have some high failure rates. 

And let me share a few reasons for the high failure rates of affiliate marketing below.

So, this is from my personal experience..

Because I have failed. 

Let me share the 3 simple reasons affiliate marketers fail. 

1) NOT HAVING A BIG ENOUGH "WHY" 

If you are serious about making money online, you need to have a reason why. 

The reason why is the thing that keeps you going. 

Your "why" will keep you going when times get rough. 

And your why HAS to be bigger than making money. 

It has to be something bigger than yourself. 

Your "why" has to be something like providing for your family or supporting a charity in your community.

2) NOT SETTING A PLAN, GOAL, OR STRATEGY!

I am sure you have heard the statement...
"If you fail to plan, you plan to fail"

It is so true. 

Taking action is important. 

But you have to make sure you take action with a plan or strategy in mind. 

Your goal can't be just  "I want to make $50,000." 

It is not specific enough. 

Let me give you an example. 

Let's say that you wanted to make $50, 000 to close out the year with affiliate marketing. 

Here are some things you want to consider....

• What product do I need become an affiliate of to get close to my $50,000 goal? 
• How many people do I need to refer to reach my $50,000 goal? 
• What kind of content will I use to promote my affiliate offer? 
• What is the return rate of the product I'm referring? 
• What social media outlet will convert best for me? 

These are just a few questions you need to ask yourself before going further with affiliate marketing. 

You need to have SMART goals...
Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Reasonable, Time Oriented.

3) NOT BEING CONSISTENT ENOUGH

So, the thing is that...

Most of us don't stick things out to see significant results. 

You have to give yourself the right amount of time to see certain results. 

Consider giving yourself 6 months to a year...

If you are not seeing significant results then, you may...

• tweak your content strategy
• switch up your niche
• set a different goal
• change your strategy

Giving yourself up to a year means that you will be able to see what is working and what is not. 

You will have enough data to see what you need to change up on.
